iPad 3 has reportedly gone into production, has better screen and LTE

The next generation iPad is expected to be released sometime in March for it to stay consistent with Apple's upgrade cycle. Recent reports have said that mass production has already started and that the next iPad will have some major changes.

How much thinner can it get? I have no idea. I doubt that Apple will make the next iPad any thinner than the iPad 2.

We don't know that much about the next iPad yet, but very recent reports say that according to some of Apple's manufacturing partners in China, the iPad 3 will sport a quad-core CPU, a higher-definition screen and 4G LTE support.

An Apple spokeswoman, Natalie Kerris has said that Apple does not comment on these rumors. Of course!

Reports also say that the Chinese factories will be running for 24-hours to boost production of the tablet in order for Apple to stay ready for the barrage of demand at release.

If the rumors really originated from some "manufacturing partners", the news are totally credible. Besides, it makes perfect sense for Apple to finally bring 4G, a Retina-class display and a quad-core CPU into its tablet to compete with the industry for another year.
