Apple App Store gets to 10 billion downloads

Recently, Apple announced that the iTunes App Store is getting to 10 billion downloads soon, and the person who downloads the 10 billionth app will get a big fat $10,000 iTunes Gift Card. Well, they've got to 10 billion apps.


Users were supposed to fill out a form before downloading an app if they wanted to join the contest. A person could fill 25 forms for  a day.

Now Apple has announced that they have reached the big number and they'll be announcing the winner really soon. Do we really need that much anticipation build-up for this?
