Facebook's iPad app was hidden inside the iPhone app

Facebook's iPhone app has been around for a long time. But the iPad 2 is already here and there has been no dedicated official Facebook app for the iOS tablet. But now, news has spread on the Internet like wild fire that the official Facebook iPad app was hidden inside the iPhone app.

After the version 3.4.4 of the iPhone app came along with a few 'fixes', Canadian student Marvin Bernal found the iPad app's code inside it.
For now, you can get to and use the app if you want to, but you will need a jailbroken iPad for it.

This app is written in HTML5 and has a really beautiful interface. It has a left-side navigation layout, kind of like the official Twitter app for the iPad. In landscape, a list of your friends appears on the left and you can chat with them directly.

People are saying this this could be the very version that should release to the public very soon.

It appears, according to Mashable, that Facebook has blocked access to the iPad app for now.
